Minister: Russia’s industrial output to grow 0.5–1% in 2016
MOSCOW, Jul 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s industrial output will grow by 0.5–1.0% in 2016, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov told reporters Thursday.
“We assume that it (the industrial output growth) will be around 0.5%, maximum 1% by the end of the year. We assume such indicators taking into account results of the first half of the year. We had a 0.3% growth of industrial output in June,” he said.
Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said earlier he projected that the country’s industrial output will grow by 0.4–0.5% in 2016.
In 2015, Russia’s industrial output fell 3.4%.
